According to Gamespot the boss of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida told them at the Paris Game Week that they are intentionally holding back footage of the highly anticipated The Last Guardian. He apparently said that “Development is going well, but because it’s about the story, we don’t want to show too much” and also stated that “We wanted to show that it exists, it works, it runs. It’s not like we won’t show anything before launch, but I think we will try to limit what we show about the game.”. Based on this, it seems The Last Guardian is a game that has many surprises in store for the player and Yoshida really wants the players to experience it all for themselves. Of course this will just add to all of the hype, which is a good thing for a game like this.
