Yakuza 5‘s live stream footage that was broadcasted last Friday was uploaded soon after which showcases only some of the many things you could partake in this massive game. Demonstrating the combat of both Kiryu and newcomer Shinada, as well as showing off a small glimpse of Another Drama of both characters, chicken racing, hostess bars, and more. You can check out the twitch stream upload on Youtube below. They have also said that in about two weeks they will continue the livestream to show off the other playable characters along with other activities.
One thing I noticed was the absence of the original track that played during the game’s opening from the Japanese release, Bloody Moon by the band Gospels of Judas, instead a generic track was played. This isn’t new as the opening tracks, as well as tracks that played in key moments in Yakuza 3, 4, and Dead Souls were also replaced by in-game tracks when they localized them. Not saying this is a confirmation, but like those titles, the licensed tracks and not just the opening track, were probably removed and replaced which isn’t surprising, but a shame none the less.
