Let’s face it…isn’t this who everyone’s going to want to play as?

Atlus has released new information about Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains, a new downloadable 3DS game featured during the April 1 Nintendo Direct and the very first official Attack on Titan game to release. The previous trailer had promised a May release, and, in North America, that will still be the case. Humanity in Chains will be releasing exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on May 12 for $39.99. Atlus has also decided to release a unique Attack on Titan Nintendo 3DS theme free to everyone who purchases the game, and that theme will not be available by any other means. Additionally, a trailer was released highlighting some of the characters players will be able to play as in the game, including Eren, Mikasa and Levi. The trailer can be seen at the end of the article.

Unfortunately, Atlus did also have some bad news for the European market. A copyright claim in Europe forced Atlus to rename the game in Europe Shingeki no Kyojin: Humanity in Chains, using the original Japanese title for Attack on Titan. The copyright claim and name change have sadly delayed the release of the game to an unknown date in the future, though they do hope it to be rather soon. The EU release of Shingeki no Kyojin: Humanity in Chains on the 3DS eShop will also include the free exclusive theme, so, at the very least Europe, will not miss out on any content.

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains is based on the popular anime series of the same name and will be a download exclusive to Nintendo 3DS systems. The game will feature local and online four-player co-op and utilizes the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL’s C-stick, in addition to the Circle Pad Pro on older versions of the consoles.
