ITOI BRACKET
- 1. Giygas defeats 16. Conrad Marburg with 97% of the vote
When someone only gets three votes, it’s pretty clear who is better.
- 8. Lilith defeats 9. Tri-Edge with 76% of the vote
Well, that was it for the .hack guys. On the flip side, Lilith saves the day for the MegaTen franchise, being the lone SMT villain to make the second round.
- 5. General Beatrix defeats 12. Mankar Camoran with 84% of the vote
Oh look, another lopsided victory for Final Fantasy. Maybe Mankar could’ve had a better chance on another website, but…who cares?
- 4. Lynx defeats 13. Felix with 57% of the vote
This one was closer than the result would indicate. Felix actually had a sizeable lead at one point before it turned into a dogfight. It wasn’t until the end that Lynx gained a comfortable lead.
- 6. Golbez defeats 11. Albedo Piazolla with 65% of the vote
A sad outcome for the Xenosaga villain as he went up against the Final Fantasy colossi. Just no shot against the behemoth of a franchise.
- 3. Van Grants defeats 14. Ladja with 66% of the vote
If only the Dragon Quest series was as lucky as the Final Fantasy series. Oh, well. Another win for the Tales series.
- 7. Axem Rangers defeat 10. Michael Jordan with 69% of the vote
Oh, sure. NOW Michael Jordan loses. He couldn’t have done that when he was a ball hog the league would bend over for to make sure he would win the title every year. That little son of a…
I’m sorry. I couldn’t help myself. I hated that guy and how he changed basketball. I couldn’t stand him back then as a Pistons fan, and I can’t stand him now.
Anyway, good job, Axem Rangers.
- 2. Sovereign defeats 15. President John Henry Eden by 6 votes
Huh. I wasn’t expecting this to be so close. I guess I overestimated how much you guys liked Mass Effect. Oh, well, it’s a win for Sovereign.
ROUND 2
All the higher seeds made the second round, and it starts with Giygas, the “embodiment of evil,” going up against Lilith, a female demon inspired by the Lilith from Jewish lore.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.Beatrix is looking to continue her wrath in not just her name, but that of Final Fantasy as she takes on Lynx from Chrono Cross. This is one of four Squaresoft match-ups in the second round.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment. It’s another Final Fantasy IV–Tales match-up as Golbez will look to take out the God-General leader, Van Grants.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.Sovereign needed some last-day magic to stay in front of John Henry Eden. He’ll need more of that if he wants to get past the Axem Rangers.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment. And that is it for Round 2. You have until Wednesday night at midnight PDT to vote. At that time, we will close the polls and move on to Round 3.
