Have you heard about the Dysfunctional Systems Kickstarter campaign? If you answered no, go forth and read our Crowdfunding Spotlight on it! But if you answered yes, then continue onward to hear about an awesome sale to promote the project.
To raise awareness of their Kickstarter campaign to fund the next two episodes of Dysfunctional Systems, the lovely folks at Dischan have decided to reduce the price of the first episode, Learning to Manage Chaos, by 80% until March 17th on all supported platforms. This means the game has dropped from $4.99 (USD) to a mere $0.99. So if you’ve been curious about this game but haven’t gotten around to it yet, now would be an excellent time to do so. Ninety-nine cents is definitely a steal for this awesome visual novel.
The game is available for Linux, Mac OS, and Windows and can be purchased at its discount price from Steam or directly from Dischan (where your purchase will also include Steam and Desura keys). Both options will also get you the soundtrack. If you’d prefer to play on the go, you can get the iOS version, although this will not include the soundtrack.
If you’re not familiar with Dysfunctional Systems (and didn’t listen to me when I told you to read our Crowdfunding Spotlight), it’s a visual novel series that tells the story of Winter Harrison, a mediator in training. As a mediator, it’s Winter’s job to travel to chaotic worlds and attempt to restore order to them. The first episode focuses on her experiences with her mentor Cyrus as they attempt to mediate the impoverished country of Brighton. The game features some lovely artwork and an equally lovely soundtrack to go with the great story and characters.
I’d definitely recommend checking out this game, especially if you’re a fan of visual novels and especially at the price of only $0.99. If you’re curious, check out our impressions of the first episode. And if you’re interested in supporting the development of the next two episodes, stop by the project’s Kickstarter page.
