It feels weird not being able to shape everything about my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island to my every whim and will.

Case in point: I got an islander forced upon me this week, despite me having the right to pick who lives there before they ever set one foot outside of the camping tent.

Change is for sure coming to my island, and it may be time to buy the DLC package soon…

Animal Crossing: New Horizons | Snooty is moving in!

It turns out I didn’t get much in the way of a say for who is moving into Renassia, after all.

I turned on Animal Crossing: New Horizons today to find out that Snooty, an aardvark, has already claimed the new place. I went over to visit her home, and I found her with a broom fretting about as she tries to clean everything and move in. It feels a little odd having someone literally pushed onto me for my island, but I am going to give her an honest try and see how she fits into the little island community I have going on.

Also, Goose gave me a rain hat!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons | Gulliver quotes The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

Suddenly, Snooty doesn’t sound so bad.

Today, I had a visitor to the campsite! It turned out to be Muffy, who looks like she got into the face paint and didn’t know when enough is actually enough. I was glad she didn’t push her way onto my island.

I also found Gulliver on my shores today, and he clearly has experience with the Wind Fish from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening as he quotes from it…that was not what I was expecting at all. Does he also visit Koholint Island? What about Tingle Island? Does he also ever take the time to run into the Red Lion?

So, so many questions that I have, but he was far more interested in getting his communicator up and running again so he could leave Renassia and go back to the sea.

I also found a bunch of fossils and caught another Zebra Turkeyfish!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons | Having a cup of coffee.

With two days of excitement in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, today turned out to be an incredibly slow down.

I hunted down a money rock, checked out what Nook’s Cranny had for sale, and I ended up getting a coffee from Brewster’s Cafe to end the day. It was really nice of Brewster to say he brewed a cup just for me, and it did make me feel a little bit special!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons | K.K. Slider comes to town!

Another Saturday night, and that of course means K.K. Slider has come to the island. Gonzo, Hazel, and I all walked up at the same time and took seats so we could listen to him play Lucky K.K. for this week! I really wasn’t expecting something inspired by bagpipes! It was quite catchy and enjoyable though, and I really did like it.

At the end, as always, I got a bootleg copy of the song to play in my home. I really hope he gives copies to Hazel and Gonzo too.

Fireworks with Snooty at the town hall.

Snooty and I watched this week’s fireworks display at the Town Hall! I think she is growing on me, even though she did push her way into my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. This week, Isabelle gave me the option to select a fireworks design option! I ended up picking a few designs and I got to see them shoot off into the air! It was actually pretty cool.

I also stopped by Redd’s and he had me pull tickets again for 500 Bells apiece. Number 23 gave me a boba mango tea, and “lucky number 7” got me a tweeter! What was my favorite, though, was that number 5 got me a uchiwa fan. I might want to go with a yukata outfit next week, and hold the uchiwa fan while watching the fireworks…if I have one, of course.

Completing C.J.'s challenge.

Today, I chopped down two money trees!

I also ran into C.J., and I participated in his seasports challenge! He tasked me with catching three big-time fish in a row. I ran all over my island and hunted down them. I ended up catching two new fish that my museum didn’t have, and I donated them both because of that. One of them was a tilapia and the other was a sweetfish. I also caught a random giant water bug, which the museum didn’t have, and I donated that too!

What was weird about today though was how Tybalt pondered about how “ghosts get ripped” and if they do “deadlifts”. I know it was a pun, but it was a really bad one.

Chatting with Celeste about shooting stars.

Tonight, Celeste came to town and she gave me a DIY recipe for a Leo sculpture! I am excited to make it at some point.

Otherwise, I just ran around on my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island and hoped that I would see shooting stars…But there was none to be found, sadly.

Ultimately, this was a very quiet way to end my week in game, but not everything can have something major coming over the horizons… right? Right?~!

Do you have a favorite shooting star Zodiac reward?

What did you accomplish this past week in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
