Nexon has announced that the Steam release of Blue Archive has been delayed due to a delay in the platform review process. The Steam client was first announced in April 2025 and was set to launch on June 24, 2025. This is not the first time anime-style games have had trouble releasing on Steam. JAST USA’s release of NITRO PLUS visual novel, Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, was banned from the platform. NekoNyan’s release of Yuzusoft title, Angelic☆Chaos RE-BOOT!, was also banned on Steam. Shiravune’s releases of Sting Entertainment’s Dungeon Travelers 2 and Dungeon Travelers 2-2 were also banned. CHAOS;HEAD NOAH was originally not going to release on Steam, but Valve eventually reversed the decision due to public outcry.

Blue Archive | Notice

While this news is disappointing, it is important to note that this is not a cancelation notice, as of now. Blue Archive is still available to play on Android and iOS mobile devices. You can download the game for free from the App Store, Google Play, and Galaxy Store. If you’re interested in the game you can follow its official X account and check out the official website.
