Marvelous USA has now announced an official release date for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. Last summer, they finally showed off some of the gameplay and gave us a vague launch time frame of Spring 2025. Today’s press release has officially announced that the game is scheduled to launch this upcoming May 30th, 2025 for both Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Also announced in today’s press release, is the fact that Marvelous USA will be having a livestream on January 22nd. They state that it will take place on their YouTube at 8 a.m. Pacific / 11 a.m. Eastern that morning and they will be showcasing further looks into the land of Azuma. Marvelous USA mentions that the host, Ovilee May, will be joined by voice actors Brandon McInnis and Suzie Yeung to discuss their roles, Subaru and Kaguya, and they’ll provide commentary alongside new reveals.
Marvelous USA has also revealed the Collector’s Edition contents for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. This special Earth Dancer Edition (pictured above) is available for pre-order in the Marvelous USA Online Store and at participating retailers, at a cost of $99.99. Ravaged by the effects of the Celestial Collapse and the cessation of power provided by the runes, the eastern lands of Azuma are a shadow of their prosperous past. Choose from one of two protagonists whose fates are closely tied together, and experience reimagined and expanded Rune Factory gameplay; as an Earth Dancer, players will farm with grace, restore and build entire villages, and fight with new weapons like the Bow and Talismans. Azuma is a vast world to explore with majestic villages to uncover, each taking inspiration from Japanese culture and each with a seasonal theme. In addition to exploration, combat, and village-building, players will also cultivate relationships with the locals, recruiting them to your side in battle or to help manage the villages.
