We here at oprainfall don’t just love video games: we’re big fans of anime, too. So in celebration of the medium, we’re here to give you our thoughts on what we’ve been watching each week as we watch it. Old, new – anything goes.

Buddy Daddies
Coming off the dire situation last week, we start with the two dropping off Miri before they have a Christmas concert at school. As they head out Kyu gives them some gifts including some Santa outfits. It’s not hard to guess that the two head to face their problem instead of running away. The action like always is pretty good. We finally get the final confrontation with Ogino, which ends in a way I think most would be happy with. Rei facing his father played out a little differently than I expected. It did end in a way that I thought made sense regarding how the two could still be hunted down and cemented how Rei was done with that life. The happy ending was something I was afraid wasn’t going to happen for a bit. So overall I’m just happy to have seen it play out. It wasn’t a show on my radar at the start of the season but, I’m glad I gave it a chance. – Walter
