Mahjong Soul | Recent win

It was another week of minimal gaming/more of the usual for me. I made some grinding progress in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. When I last mentioned XC1, I believe my party was only just past 80. I’ve now got them all around level 92 to 93 and have started doing some of the endgame quests which require fighting top leveled monsters or collecting items near them; although there are still a handful of unique named enemies which I’m not quite ready for, the ones at level 99 and above. I also played more Mahjong Soul as expected. Went through a bit of a losing streak and lost some of my points I had towards the next rank (my head start from when I last ranked up). But I could possibly be turning that around soon. I got some decent wins again, when playing the other day. And that’s about it for my weekly gaming this time around. – Jenae

Unpacking | child's bedroom

I finally got to post my review for Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei, which I’ve been working on for the past week. I went back to it some more this week to try and get a couple “If” endings, since my review playthrough I managed to get all the happy endings but nothing else. I’ve also been dabbling with Unpacking on Xbox GamePass, which is a weirdly cathartic title that is about what it says on the tin. You’re given a living space of various sizes – a child’s bedroom, a college dorm, a boyfriend’s flat, etc. – and you need to unpack your boxes and find a place for everything. I like it as one of those minimalist games that presents its story almost entirely through gameplay alone, and because of the style of game, it ended up being a chill but contemplative experience. Finding a place for socks has never been more stressful, though. It also scratched that sorting itch I sometimes get. If you’re looking for a chill game that makes you reconsider living spaces and how they reflect life experiences, it’s worth checking out! – Leah
