The last Nintendo Download of September is here, and it’s a sizable one! Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania leads seven featured games and a ton of new eShop titles.

Featured Games

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania arrives on October 5th. With it comes the retro, ball-rolling fun of Super Monkey Ball 1, 2, and Deluxe. This time around, a number of new characters are along for the ride, including guests like Sonic and Tails! Tackle 300+ stages and a number of mini-games.

The JRPG Astria Ascending has just launched. Delve into the massive world of Orcanon. Explore five cities, the homes of many unique creatures, and descend into 20+ dungeons through 50+ hours of gameplay.

The Hot Wheels universe also just came to Switch in HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED. Build crazy racecourses, collect vehicles, and compete in tight races.

Also just released is UNSIGHTED, where you’ll explore the ruined city of Arcadia. You take on the role of an automaton named Alma, who awakens in a world decimated by war. Anima, a special resource that gives sentience to automatons, is running out. As a result, they are turning into mindless killing machines one by one. Who turns and who survives depends on you!

Next up, we have some hardcore, Metroidvania RPG action in the just-released Death’s Gambit: Afterlife. The promise of immortality rests in Siradon. Bound to Death by contract, you’re mission is the eradication of all immortality for good. Will you do Death’s bidding, or break free of your chains?

Releasing on October 5th, we have the fighting game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. A ton of famous characters will battle it out. Each fighter has their own playstyle to master. Compete against three friends in local multiplayer, or jump into online battles.

FIFA 22 Nintendo Switch Legacy Edition is just launching today. It brings the latest clubs, kits, and squads from top leagues around the globe to the Nintendo Switch. Some new stadiums have joined the mix as well.

Current Sales

Checking into the sales scene, we see that some of last week’s sales are still ongoing in this Nintendo Download. These include the Switch Blockbuster Sale, the Monster Hunter Franchise Sale, the Fall Into Sega Savings Sale, and the Team17 Publisher Sale. These all end on October 3rd, while the Square Enix Tokyo Game Show Promotion sale ends on October 4th.

Next, we have a new pre-order bonus for Metroid Dread for those who do so at Walmart. You’ll get a nice-looking Metroid Dread coffee mug (while supplies last) if you pre-order the game there. Meanwhile, the sticker and decal pre-order bonuses at GameStop and Best Buy are also still available.

As always, check out Nintendo’s sales page for full details on all current sales.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
