Symbiotic Love | Jisuo

The magnificent prequel to Melancholy Love is finally here in Symbiotic Love. The amazing people over at Kikai Digital spoil us as they release a continuation of the Linghua series. Though to clarify, it is still a prequel but you understand what I mean. As I currently work on the review for Melancholy Love it really is worth talking about how much love goes into these Chinese Visual Novels. With a clear influence from the Flowers series, the Linghua series demonstrates its own approach to girls’ love. It executes it in such a breathtaking manner that it’s a blessing we have people to translate it to English. So learn all about the story of Jisuo and Zihua and immerse yourself in a tale unlike others that came before. It’s available on Steam right now for $9.99.

What is Symbiotic Love about?

Following Jisuo’s death, Zihua’s world had seemingly collapsed. Her friend, and beloved, was gone. Only when she finally pulled herself out did she realize her tears have run dry.

One day, she discovers a diary excerpt in her schoolbag. To her bafflement, it belonged to Jisuo, and this was only the beginning. The excerpts appeared one by one, stirring up her memories, recounting how they met, become acquainted, and eventually, becoming friends and lovers.

Where do these diary excerpt come from? What happened between Jisuo and Zihua? Will this story turn into a Romeo & Juliet tragedy, or is there a way to salvage their love?
