Sword Art Online | Platinum CE

Yen Press has announced the Sword Art Online Platinum Collector’s Edition, a limited edition box set featuring the popular light novel series written by Reki Kawahara with illustrations by abec. This special box set houses volumes 1-20 of the series in two hardcover volumes. This means this set includes the Aincrad (1-2), Fairy Dance (3-4), Phantom Bullet (5-6), and Alicization (9-18) arcs as well as the Mother’s Rosario (7), Early and Late (8), and Moon Cradle (19-20) side stories.

In addition to the two hardcover tomes, the box set also includes a poster and a set of exclusive prints illustrated by abec.

Sword Art Online was first published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2009 and currently has 24 volumes in print in Japan. The light novels have inspired three TV anime seasons, an animated film and multiple video games.

Sword Art Online Platinum Collector’s Edition is available to pre-order now in the US and Canada via Yen Press for $200 US / $260 CAN. The box set will also be available to international retailers through Diamond Book Distributors. The Platinum Collector’s Edition is scheduled to launch on December 22, 2020.
