Rename Studio and Jaleo Games are excited to announce the launch of Alt254. The unique, minimalist open world adventure game is available now on Steam for $9.99, according to the press release. It currently has a 10% launch discount that will save you a dollar. You can also find the game in Humble Choice. It throws players into a very unusual take on the action adventure genre. Players who answer the call will step into a journey of self-discovery, and uncover a world they don’t yet understand. Many enemies, dangers, and hazards stand in your way, and you must overcome them if you are to find meaning in this world and your own existence. Here is the trailer:

So what makes Alt254 so unusual? Well, the keyword in the description above is minimalist. You see, Alt254 sets out to represent the true core of the tried and true features of action adventure games. Everything is pixels in this adventure. The game’s lush world is a low-resolution map of pixels. You yourself, are but a single pixel in this dangerous world. This is also true of your foes. Keeping with the theme, there is also a clever, minimalist combat system. You’ll need to learn about this world, its rules and mechanics, to uncover its mysteries and recover your own memory. Maybe one day, you will uncover the truth of who you are and what you are doing here. The world of Alt254 is riddled with countless secrets for players to unearth, such as hidden doors. Who knows what may lie in the hidden crevices of the world.

Here are some screenshots showing off some of the game:

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
