I know I’ve called previous Nintendo Download articles short, but this one really is. Sure, there’s a couple featured titles, but not much else. So I won’t waste time meandering, let’s just get started.
Both of today’s featured games are very unusual. They’re just not the sort of games that Nintendo typically highlights. First up is Faeria. It’s a strategic board game that features both cards and a grid to play on. It also has attractive visual style and a massive single player campaign. The other game is Linn: Path of Orchards. It’s a puzzle platformer that reminds me of both GRIS and Celeste. Which is actually pretty cool. Next up, let’s continue the Nintendo Download with some sales.
Here’s what the Game Guide has to offer us. If you like tactical RPGs, you might enjoy Dread Nautical for $11.99; for the definitive edition of a great game, try Battle Princess Madelyn Royal Edition for half off at $7.49; to take a chance on a cool looking game, there’s Neon City Riders for $14.99; for mayhem in space, check out Freedom Finger for $8.99; to get your Power Ranger on, try Chroma Squad for $9.99; retro fans might enjoy WONDER BOY RETURNS REMIX for $8.99; for an amazing discount on a unique puzzle game, try She Remembered Caterpillars for $0.99; or for a discount on a SHMUP, try Blue Rider for $2.99; to feel the music, try Akihabara – Feel the Rhythm Remixed for $1.99; RPG fans might enjoy The Lost Child for $14.99; or to get your cowboy on, try West of Loathing for $6.38; and lastly, for a new take on a classic story, try The Next Penelope for $2.59. There’s only a couple digital games for next week’s Nintendo Download. First up is Helheim Hassle, a narrative adventure with puzzle platforming. And then there’s Norman’s Great Illusion, which has you live a fraught year as an engineer.
Lastly, here’s the digital offerings for this week. Retro fans can be happy with multiple offerings – Arcade Archives CIRCUS CHARLIE, KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 and SAMURAI SHODOWN!2. VN fans have a couple options – Big Dipper and Collar X Malice -Unlimited-. For frenetic action, try WE ARE DOOMED and Zero Strain. For games styled like classics, try Cecconoid, Devious Dungeon Collection and The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines. Finally, for two rocking yet distinct adventures, try Bite the Bullet and Double Kick Heroes.
See? I wasn’t kidding about the length of this Nintendo Download. Either way, thanks for joining oprainfall for your weekly dose of games, and be sure to tune in next time!
