Thanks to Super Rare Games, Smoke and Sacrifice is getting a physical release on the Nintendo Switch. Those who like physical copies of their games will be pleased to hear this, but there is a bit more. The physical release also includes a 20-page full color manual, exclusive sticker, interior art, and three random trading cards out of their set of five. Fans will be able to order their copy of Smoke and Sacrifice for $32.70 on January 9th at the Super Rare Games website. According to the website, only 5,000 copies of this limited physical edition have been produced. So if you want one, you’d better order yours as soon as you can that day. Here’s the trailer from the game’s original release:

Smoke and Sacrifice is an open-world RPG, with a narrative-driven adventure. Sachi’s home is a small but fertile bit of land. Unfortunately, it also happens to be the one that remains in an icy wasteland. Her farming community is devoted to the Sun Tree, allowing them to thrive. This very special tree provides light in place of the failed sun. It is not all good news, though. You see, Sachi had to sacrifice her first child to the Sun Tree. Now she will either uncover a truth hidden in a secret underworld, or perish in its toxic smoke.

The odds are definitely not in Sachi’s favor, with strange creatures standing in her way, and a toxic smoke threatening to steal life and memory alike. Will she ever find out what happened to her lost son? Players will need to craft, fight, explore the massive world, and exploit the living ecosystems to survive in Smoke and Sacrifice. Hopefully Sachi can find the truth along the way. You can find out more about the game at Curve Digital’s website.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
