Anime NYC made a huge announcement today as Rie Kugimiya will be making her 1st ever appearance at an anime convention in the United States at Anime NYC 2019. Kugimiya is known far and wide by anime fans, affectionately dubbed the “Queen of Tsundere.” She has voiced many iconic anime roles including Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Taiga Aisaka in Toradora!, Shana in Shakugan no Shana, Kagura in Gintama, Happy in Fairy Tail, Louise in The Familiar of Zero and much much more.
Her gaming roles are impressive as well, having voiced the likes of Rise Kujikawa in Persona 4, Nobunaga Oda in Fate/Grand Order, Iori Minase in The iDOLM@STER, Vyrn in Granblue Fantasy, Marta Lualdi in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Haruka Sawamura in the Yakuza series and much more. She has won many prestigious awards including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress at the Seiyuu Awards.
Rie Kugimiya will appear at Anime NYC for one day on Sunday, November 17. She will attend a main stage panel discussion and have an autograph signing with fans. Her panel will be open to all Sunday and Weekend attendees of the convention for free.
Kugimiya’s autograph signing will be a limited event and a paid signing. Tickets go on sale at 6 pm ET on October 6, 2019. Tickets will cost $125 and will be limited to one per person. Kugimiya will sign one shikishi per person and the shikishi comes with the autograph ticket. She will, unfortunately, not be signing personal items or merchandise. The autograph ticket will also guarantee reserved seating at her panel discussion.
