During Dragon Con 2019, I traded off questions with Michelle Moreland (Producer and Radio Host at The Geeky Diva and Variety Radio Online) and Tiffini Taylor (Writer at Vanguard-Online) to interview Robbie Daymond, Ray Chase, and Max Mittelman about their voice acting careers (including voicing various roles in FINAL FANTASY XV), L.A.V.A., and more. In what is a break from my normal style of transcribing interviews for publication, I have instead elected to provide the raw audio instead of a transcription of the interview (such as I did when I also interviewed the amazing Cherami Leigh at Dragon Con 2019).
Here is a bit more about the three interviewees before you get to the audio link:
Robbie Daymond has been voice acting in video games and animation (including anime!) since 2014. He is best known for his roles voicing Prompto in FINAL FANTASY XV, Tuxedo Mask in VIZ’s dub of the Sailor Moon franchise, the latest inereation of Peter Parker in the animated Spider-Man, and most recently for his work as Killer T Cell in Cells at Work!
Ray Chase has been voiced a large roles in different anime and video games genres since at least 2013. While he is perhaps best known for voicing the Chosen King Noctus Lucis Caelum in FINAL FANTASY XV, he has recently voiced Rhys in the just-released Borderlands 3, Gendo Ikari in the Netflix-dubbed Neon Genesis Evangelion, Helper T Cell in Cells at Work!
Max Mittelman has been giving life to characters in both anime and video games since 2013. During that time, he has voiced signature roles such as Kousei Arima in Your Lie in April, Tredd Furia in Kingsglaive: FINAL FANTASY XV, Ryuji Sakamoto in various Persona 5 properties, and Saitama in One-Punch Man.
