The Legend of Bum-Bo | Lanes

As a somewhat newer convert and hardcore fan of The Binding of Isaac, I was intrigued when The Legend of Bum-bo was first revealed. All I knew is that it involved Isaac’s hobo friend, Bum-bo, and that the graphics looked purposefully to be crafted out of cardboard. Which darkly makes a sort of sense, given the theme. But that was pretty much everything. Well, as of today, I can reveal a few more details.

The Legend of Bum-Bo | Boss

The Legend of Bum-bo is a deckbuilding, rogue prequel to The Binding of Isaac. It all starts when a mysterious creature steals Bum-bo’s only coin and disappears into the sewers. You dive after him, and thus beings a tale of woe. What surprised me was to learn there is more than one Bum-bo in the game, and each has different unique abilities. But for a more thorough list of what you’ll find in the game, just look below:

But wait, that’s not all! The Legend of Bum-bo is coming to Steam, iOS and Switch. But best of all, it’s not far away, at least for Steam fans. The Legend of Bum-bo is officially launching on Steam this November 12th. While I wish it was coming to all consoles at the same time, I’m used to waiting on Switch ports by now. And regardless, this looks so delightfully zany, I have a feeling it will be worth the wait. To get an even better idea of what The Legend of Bum-bo has in store, just check out the trailer below. And stay tuned to oprainfall for more coverage of the mad art of Edmund McMillen!
