A while back I reviewed a fantastic Eroge called Princess X: My Fiancee is a Monster Girl?! The game was filled with amazing monster girls and while the story was a bit insane at times, I really enjoyed it. I was super excited when JAST USA launched the fan disc for the game a few days ago. Princess X FD: Fiancees Forever! contains 13 OVA style stories that take place after the main game story has concluded. I was super excited to see how Shinichi and all the lovely girls ended up after the credits rolled on the main story.

Princess X FD | Maids

Each of the OVA style chapters were very entertaining. These stories may actually be more off the rails than the main story in some cases. You have a story about Proxie needing a part time job, a story where R-Komadori becomes the cutest detective ever, a very sweet story with Naja, what happened to Tegusu and Tsunayoshi when they ran away plus the game’s true ending. I was thoroughly entertained with each chapter, and the fact that I got to spend more time with these characters I loved from the first game was just wonderful.

Princess X FD Tegusu | Drunk

One of favorite stories was “Nothing to fear, but Ninjas.” This follows Tegusu and Tsunayoshi after they ran away, and the struggles they face. I’ve never been one for spider girls, but Tegusu is super adorable in this story. Tsunayoshi finds a very unique way to keep her warm during the harsh winter. The story called “Strange tales with Sayyuko” has the sister trying to solve the seven mysteries of the school. This is the craziest story I’ve ever read, but I laughed a ton while reading it. “The Black Out” has Shinichi being assaulted during a blackout, but never fear detective Komidori is on the case. This one spoofs The Ring and several other popular Japanese horror stories and I really had a lot of fun reading this. If you choose for R-Komadori to do something unusual during the H-Scene here, that is exactly what you get!

Princess X FD | What

Speaking of H-Scenes there are 16 to be unlocked. All of these scenes are quality work with no mosaics to be found. The writing here is very good as well. These were nicely paced in the stories and didn’t drag on longer than they needed to like in some Eroge. Some of these are pretty out there, but if you played through Princess X: My Fiancee is a Monster Girl?! then this is something you should fully expect going into this. The music is basically all the same tunes you heard in the main game. They get the job done, but adding a few new tracks would’ve been welcome.

Princess X FD | Komadori

If you enjoyed the main game then you should definitely pick up Princess X FD: Fiancees Forever! These stories are all very fun to read, and you get to learn even more about your favorite monster girls. The H-Scenes are all top quality with no mosaics and I feel the price is right at $14.99 for around 4-6 hours of game time. If you’re a fan of monster girls I would highly recommended you pick both games over on JAST USA’s site. If you’re not a fan of monster girls and want to try something unique and different, you should give them a shot. You may just a find you have a love for monster girls as well!

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
