At the PC Gaming Show at E3 2019, publisher Modus Games showed off their upcoming game from Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK, titled Cris Tales. The game is an homage to classic Japanese RPGs, and the trailer can be seen here:
Specifically referred to by the developer as “a love letter to classic JRPGs”, the game has a focus on time magic that allows players to simultaneously experience multiple time periods, and see how changes made reverberate through them. Along the way you meet and recruit different teammates, and learn about their various backstories and how they affect the main plot.
Cris Tales is set to launch in 2020 on Steam, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and more information can be found on the game’s official site or Steam store page. There’s also a demo of the game available until June 24.
