Square Enix is bringing the 90’s back by including Xenogears characters in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. For those unfamiliar with Xenogears, it was one of Square’s experimental JRPG’s during their PS1 days. While not the juggernaut that Final Fantasy 7 was in that era, it received a cult following over the following years. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is no stranger to including other Square-Enix properties to their ever growing roster. Lenneth and Freya from Valkyrie Profile have also appeared in the game and even pop stars such as Katy Perry and Ariana Grande received a 16-bit treatment as well.

The gang is all here. Well, almost all of them.

This collaboration is the first part in a wave of Xenogears content coming to Brave Exvius. Xenogears mains Fei, Elly, Bart, Emeralda, Rico, and Chu-Chu are available as summons. Players receive special bonuses from daily logins as well, so jump in and revisit Fei and friends once again!

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is available now as a free-to-play app with in-game purchases through the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon store.

About Mohammad Maidin

Mo is an avid JRPG and horror fan whose interest in gaming began at 4 years old when his parents bought him his first console: the Sega Genesis. His love for horror games started from buying a mint condition Resident Evil 2 at a yard sale and was too spooked as a kid to play it until years later where he learned to love it. The love for JRPGs began around this time too as he found comfort in Final Fantasy 4 after his initial zombie scare. Today he still plays both franchises and on his spare time likes to visit art walks and museums, find hole in the wall restaurants, hikes, and do some freelance story writing (or at least attempt to).
