Dark fantasy-thriller anime The Promised Neverland makes its Toonami debut on April 13, 2019.

The 12-episode anime based on the manga of the same name by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu originally aired on Crunchyroll beginning in January 2019. A second season will begin airing in 2020. The story follows orphans Emma, Norman, and Ray as they discover the idyllic world they’ve known all their lives is an elaborate lie hiding a terrifying and grisly secret.

The Promised Neverland will join other Toonami staples Dragon Ball Super, Boruto: The Next Generation, Sword Art Online: Alicization, My Hero Academia, JoJo: Diamond is Unbreakable, and more. The specific schedule for its premiere is not yet available, according to Toonami.
