One of the new announcements from Sony’s first State of Play was a quirky looking party game by Robot Entertainment called Ready Set Heroes.

Ready Set Heroes is a dungeon crawler with a bit of a twist. Sure, your familiar elements are all here: Enemies, traps, loot, but in addition but Robot Entertainment set out to take the traditional formula and add in some competitive multiplayer fun. Two teams are placed in the same randomly generated dungeon and race toward the exit, then the two teams battle it out in a winner take all arena battle. The team that reached the exit first gets an advantage but can still be taken out and lose everything. Ready Set Heroes will support both online and local split screen multiplayer.

No final release date was given, but you can expect it sometime later this year for PlayStation 4.
