Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that “The Regeneration of Brutality” is joining the Dead or Alive 6 roster. Raidou was a ninja long thought to have been killed by an explosion that took place after the first Dead or Alive tournament. According to the press release, in reality his body was recovered and experimented on in secret using DOATEC biotechnology. Once known as the most dangerous evil ninja in the universe, Raidou now has a thirst for destruction. Though the reanimation of his dead body was successful, he is now mindless. The resurrected Raidou prefers a power-focused style of combat, based on Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu.

They also revealed screenshots of two previously unseen stages, both of which you can see below. The Chinese Festival stage screenshot shows a colorful part of Chinatown in the midst of a spring festival, where unused firecrackers litter the ground waiting to be set off. On the other hand, the A.P.O. stage screenshot shows one of the corridors that lead into the bowels of the M.I.S.T. research facility, a place that is home to nefarious experiments.

On top of the new addition to the Dead or Alive 6 roster, they also detailed Quest and Training modes. In Quest mode, players will be clearing missions during matches in order to complete the quest. This unlocks cosmetic items for the player, and also earns you Player Points. The quests are designed with the idea of players learning and utilizing the game’s fighting systems and many techniques. Players will need to build their fighting prowess to overcome the increasingly difficult missions. You can also build your skill in the Training mode. You’ll be able to absorb “every aspect of the Dead or Alive fighting system” in both Free Training and Tutorial. There are also the more personal Command Training and Combo Challenge options, as well.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
