Senran Kagura | Intimacy Mode

Senran Kagura | Intimacy Mode

A couple of team members from XSEED took to Twitter last night to explain the changes being made with the PlayStation 4 version of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal.

Localization Lead Ryan Graff and Localization Producer Tom Lipschultz gave some really interesting insights.

Lipschultz said this was due to new policy from Sony and removing this feature was the best XSEED could do in this situation. It was either this or not release the game on the PlayStation 4 in the West altogether. He explained they were pretty far along with it and they felt cancelling this version would’ve disappointed folks even more.

Graff also stated that the Intimacy Mode is basically anything that has to do with grabbing hands in the dress room, or basically what the entire contents of Senran Kagura: Reflexions are. Players will not miss out on the trophy however, XSEED will include a different one for this called “Oops, wrong room.” They really should’ve gone with “Please Understand” cause that would’ve been hilarious.

Both men approved of those jumping ship from the PS4 to the Steam version of the game, and they encouraged folks to give Sony feedback respectfully.

My take on this is that now some other things make a lot of sense. This is why PQube got hit with Omega Labyrinth Z and also why Nekopara vol. 1 isn’t on PlayStation 4 here. You can pet the girls even in the All Ages version of the game. You can purchase Nekapara Vol. 1 on Nintendo Switch right now.

I guess Sony is basically like our parents now when we were kids, NO TOUCHING!

Here are some links to contact Sony to express your displeasure at their new policy, but please be RESPECTFUL.
