Castlevania‘s Simon Belmont has been formally announced as a new fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, following a leak from Nintendo’s YouTube channel last night where a video title shared language with the Castlevania series. Richter also joins the fight from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood as an Echo Fighter.

Simon fights with his ball and chain whip, the Vampire Killer, Holy Water and takes his base design from the original 1987 platformer classic. With Simon comes the Castlevania stage Dracula’s Castle, which is also the darkest stage in Super Smash Bros. 30 music tracks alone will be included in the stage. Dracula can appear in the stage under mysterious conditions. Grand Cross is Simon’s Final Smash. Alucard, son of Dracula, also appears as an Assist Trophy.

In addition to Simon and Richter, King K. Rool joins Ultimate as a new fighter and Chrome and Dark Samus enter as Echo Fighters.
