Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic returned to their developer blog to confirm the game’s 64-bit Tonic is still in development. This devolution of the platformer’s graphics into a Nintendo 64-inspired aesthetic was one of the many promised Kickstarter reward tiers, along with a developer commentary series and further undisclosed content still in progress.

For those who have yet to jump into Yooka-Laylee‘s colorful platforming antics, the game is on sale on Nintendo Switch until July 13th (US and UK stores) for 25% off. Yooka-Laylee launched on Switch months after its PS4, Xbox One, and PC premier in April 2017 with improved camera and character controls.
