Corona Blossom

Frontwing had some announcements at its 2018 Anime Expo Panel. These announcements range from a release window for highly anticipated title to some anime adaptation news, so let’s jump into it.

First up we have Grisaia: Phantom Trigger is getting an English release for the upcoming anime.  The first two episodes of the anime are scheduled to broadcast later this year.  They have added Blu-ray sets of the English release and other rewards to the Kickstarter. They have also opened an English site for the anime as well.

The Grisaia: Phantom Trigger anime adaptation is being produced entirely inhouse by Frontwing. Animation is being handled by Bibury Animation Studios, with director TENSHO and character designer Akio Watanabe of Monogatari series fame. Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation adapts each volume of the original PC visual novel series into a feature-length animated production.

The “Phantom Trigger” series is being localized in English by Frontwing’s experienced in-house translation team, the members of which are proficient Japanese to English translators who possess JLPT N1 certification or equivalent.

Next up we have new information on their upcoming adult romantic visual novel Loca-Love. The game is set for an Autumn of 2018 release and you can check out the English site here.

Loca-Love is a carefree romantic story with three heroines and multiple routes. It features artwork and character design by nanaca mai, also known for Frontwing’s earlier Corona Blossom series, and a story by Kei Hozumi, writer of Yukikoi Melt. Currently the title is planned for release on Steam with a free 18+ patch to be made available. Release on other platforms is currently under consideration.

Loca-Love’s story is as follows: Aoi Ichitaro had been living on his own, until disaster strikes at his apartment and he’s temporarily evicted. However, his misfortune turns out to be a blessing in disguise… “Y-You’re… free to come and stay at my place!!” Kojika Hiwa – Ichitaro’s coworker at his part-time job – seems to have gathered all her courage to invite him over. Ichitaro, who had already taken a liking toward her, happily accepts, signaling the beginning of their new life together. At first, things are awkward and embarrassing, but once the two become aware of their mutual feelings, their life takes a turn for the sweet. Sleeping, eating, going to school… every moment of the day is pure bliss when spent together with the caring and homey Hiwa. Naturally, Ichitaro wishes that they could keep on living together forever. There’s just one thing he needs to do to make that happen…

Next up we have some new information about the release of the visual novel ISLAND.  The game now has a release window of Summer 2018 and the Steam page is now live of your viewing pleasure.

ISLAND is an intricate visual novel with multiple routes and endings. Through use of the game’s flowchart system, players navigate through the story and uncover clues to unravel the mysteries of Urashima, the titular island.

The English game’s homepage can be reached from the following URL: http://en.frontwing.jp/games/island.html
The story of ISLAND revolves around Sanzenkai Setsuna, a young man who wakes up on the shore of Urashima with no memories of his past. During the game, you’ll explore Setsuna’s relationship with three girls on the island, Rinne, Karen, and Sara. As he uncovers the hidden secrets of Urashima’s past – and future – Setsuna must fight against fate to protect that which he treasures most.

An animated adaptation of ISLAND produced by Studio feel. and directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi is also currently airing on Crunchyroll. Frontwing plans to share more announcements regarding the anime adaptation in collaboration with Crunchyroll very soon.

Last but certainly not least Frontwing has something coming for Eroge / Dungeon Crawling fans. Lilitales, a dungeon crawler and adult visual novel originally developed by Japanese maker Tunnel No.73. You can check out the Japanese homepage for the game here, but it VERY NSFW. Tunnel no.73 does have an English homepage that you can check out, but again it is VERY NSFW.

Originally released in Japan in 2015, Lilitales is a hybrid turn-based dungeon crawler and visual novel with adult themes. Currently the game is planned for release on Steam fully translated into English, with a free 18+ patch to be made available. Release on other platforms is currently under consideration, and a release date is undecided but is planned to be announced soon. The game also received an anime adaptation in Japan earlier this year.

Lilitales tells the story of Lunarie (Luna) is a knight who serves the royal family, and her best friend and charge, Princess Jill. When Jill is kidnapped, Luna is framed for the crime, imprisoned, and tortured. Escaping her captors, Luna sets off on a journey to Ishtar, City of Slavers, to rescue Jill before she gets sold off as a sex slave. Lilitales is a fantastical game, featuring scenes of torture and violation from both humans and monsters alike.
