FINAL FANTASY XIV

FINAL FANTASY XIV

In what is hopefully becoming a yearly tradition, Square Enix, Inc. and La Fée Sauvage are partnering up again after E3 2018 concludes to bring another concert series to Los Angeles: FINAL FANTASY XIV Orchestra Concert 2018 – Eorzean Symphony. The concert takes place on both June 15th and 16th, 2018 at 8:00 PM in the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California.

With an over one-hundred piece orchestra and choir and Susan Calloway performing Answers and Dragonsong at each performance as video excerpts sync up to each piece performed on a giant screen, it promises to be quite an exciting event. In addition, Naoki Yoshida (better known to FINAL FANTASY XIV players as the game’s producer/director “Yoshi-P”), Masayoshi Soken (FINAL FANTASY XIV‘s Sound Director and Composer) are both set to be present at each show as well.

If you purchase tickets to either performance of the 15th or 16th, the ticket holder is also entitled to watch a red carpet walk of FINAL FANTASY XIV cosplayers and the concert’s special guests as they walk across the Hollywood Walk of Fame between 5:00 and 6:00 PM on the 16th before they themselves can follow on the red carpet as well. If you are interested in cosplaying for the red carpet, you can register at Eventbrite here.

On a personal note – I attended the KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour- that was held during E3 last year, and I loved it (as you can read in my review of the show here). Square Enix, Inc. and La Fée Sauvage did a wonderful job with syncing video clips from the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise alongside the score of the series itself, and the concert just flew by. As a result of both this and a veteran of FINAL FANTASY XIV 1.0 and A Realm Reborn, I honestly have high hopes and expectations for FINAL FANTASY XIV Orchestra 2-18 – Eorzean Symphony as a result of the quality work and passion that was placed into that performance.

As I did last year, I will be covering and reviewing this orchestral performance for Operation Rainfall, so stay tuned and be sure to say ‘hello’ if you see me!

Tickets are still available on Tickermaster for both the June 15th and the June 16th performances.
