Sony has told developers today that production of physical PS Vita games is coming to an end in North America and Europe on 31st March 2019. In an email seen by Kotaku, Sony reveals that they “plan to end all Vita GameCard production by close of fiscal year 2018.” Furthermore, Sony say developers need to submit requests for product code by 28th June 2018 and that purchases of physical cards need to be carried out by 15th February 2019.

Sony then told Kotaku over an email that Vita physical card production is indeed coming to an end. However, it appears that digital distribution will continue for the foreseeable future.
