The indie platformer adventure SteamWorld Dig 2 digs its way to the Nintendo 3DS eShop this Thursday, February 22nd for $19.99 USD. Developer Image & Form Games promises a silky smooth performance of 60 frame per second in both 3D and 2D across all models of the portable.

SteamWorld Dig 2 launched on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 last fall to much critical acclaim, and the 3DS version will be content complete in parity with the console release. It is the direct sequel to 2013’s SteamWorld Dig, itself originally debuting on 3DS back in the day. Following the 3DS port, SteamWorld Dig 2‘s console edition will be released in physical form in North America and Europe this Spring courtesy of Rising Star Games.
