A new Visual Novel localization company, NekoNyan, is looking to make a splash in the market. In a big announcement post they have set out some impressive goals, such as no crowdfunding, being transparent, offering physical copies, and free 18+ patches. Sounds like they on are the right track to me.

In this post they announced their first five titles:

  • Fureraba
  • Hello,goodbye
  • Sanoba Witch
  • Melty Moment
  • Suki to Suki to de Sankaku Ren’ai

Here is a bit about each game straight from NekoNyan and links to each game’s VNDB.
NOTE THE VNDB LINKS ARE NSFW SINCE THESE ARE 18+ TITLES!

Hello, Goodbye

“Toubu Kaito” That is the fake name assumed by a young military officer from the United Provinces of Japan. He has been tasked with infiltrating Tenshudo Academy, located in Special District Morino, impersonating a transfer student. He is to cast aside his former identity, and ‘become’ Toubu Kaito.

Special District Morino, also known as the neutral zone is a region of historical significance, and right now, it is the one area which ‘both Japans’ have their eyes on most. Upon first entering Morino, Kaito decides to walk around and familiarize himself with his new home. After visiting many different places, he then ends up in a park harboring a memorial statue honoring a certain peace treaty. Kaito wanders a little too far, and finds a remote area where he is presented with a vast flower bed that covers every inch on the ground.

And he is not alone. There is a single girl there, tending to the flowers.”Why hello there. Good morning. Er well, considering the time of day, I suppose I should instead say ‘Good evening.’ My name is Yukishiro Mei. What about you, sir?” The girls gently smiles at Kaito, and asks for his name.

“Toubu… Kaito. That’s who I will be, during my stay here.” He responds to her, quickly, and in doing so, inadvertently reveals his ‘secret.’ Little did Kaito know, but this slight ‘slip of the tongue’ would be the single action to put an end to his hapless fate. One tiny mistake, and his life forever changed…

“I think it’s something wonderful if it was love that led to that mistake.”

Friend to Lover

Springtime. The season of the cherry blossoms, and a time of new beginnings, new encounters, and new people.

For Aoba Kyousuke, this new season marks the start of his second year in high school, and after taking a moment to reflect, and looking at the friends around him… All he can find is a dumbass too horny for his own good, and a weirdo who can’t get over his strange fetish for lizard-humanoid creatures.Sure enough he enjoys hanging out with them, and he wouldn’t ever think of giving it up, but something feels missing. A precious, valuable part of everyone’s adolescence, and something he might just miss out on at this rate… What is that something? Why, love. So upon realizing this, he shouts out to the world–

“I WANT A GIRLFRIEND!”

He’ll need to give it his all, of course, because he knows that love does not come to those who wait.

Sanoba Witch

Hoshina Shuji has a secret: He has a mysterious power that allows him to perceive the emotions of others. One of Shuji’s classmates, Ayachi Nene, likewise has her own grave secret: She will randomly experience periods of strong horniness, something which she has no control over. The two of them had nothing to do with one another beyond just being classmates, until one day, when Shuuji stumbled upon a scene that defied his wildest imaginations. Ayachi Nene, THAT Ayachi Nene is pressing her crotch against the corner of a library table… using it to MASTURBATE?!

Following that one accident, two strangers became friends. They bonded with one another through their shared secrets, and from this, Shuji came to learn about certain things. That is, not only about the reason for Nene’s random ‘fits’ where she gets uncontrollably horny, but also about of the existence of people called ‘witches’—-

Nene’s secret actions as a ‘witch’, and the ‘fits’ she goes through because of that serving as the magnet, a junior, an upperclassman, and a transfer student all congregate together. Shuji’s once normal life is thrown into chaos, and with that, a certain faint hope wells up inside of him: “Maybe this will be the start of something new.”

Suki to Suki to de Sankaku Ren’ai

Meet Sousuke, our protagonist. He’s just your average high school kid, living in a rural town. Ever since his father remarried when he was young, he’s been living together with his little sister Nanaru. Together with his childhood friend Maho and their other friends, they have fun geeking out at school in the Otaku Club (or the “BC,” as they like to call it). Sousuke enjoys those tranquil, peaceful days… But then one day, only one month before summer break, that peace is shattered.

“I’ve missed you so, so much… Nii-san!!” It’s his blood-related little sister! His beloved little sister, who had gone with their mother after the divorce, and she’s back! Suzu silently flaunted her status as the ‘real’ sister at school, at home, and out around town, while stepsister Nanaru was just left feeling awkward and out of place.

Stepsister Nanaru: “It’s too late to come in here claiming to be the ‘real’ sister, but I’ve already trained him, hohoho.” Real sister Suzu: “Fine! I’ll just RE-TRAIN him!!”

“This is bad. This is VERY bad. My sisters are going completely haywire!”

But if that wasn’t bad enough for our poor protagonist, now some upperclassman called Shina, who ‘forced herself’ to fall in love with Sousuke at first sight, appears! And if you thought the childhood friend Maho was still normal, too bad! She’s acting slightly bonkers too. What is our poor protagonist going to DO?! This is only the beginning of a wacky, zany love triangle fiasco hot enough to cool the summer heat (no guarantees).

Melty Moment

This story takes place in a town full of residential areas and apartment complexes. The town is you would a commuter town, and is a nice, quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of urban cities. There are no skyscrapers to be found, nor any big-box stores. Instead the townscape is comprised of houses and apartments. It has a nice, relaxing ambience, and there’s a certain nostalgia that fills Takeru’s chest when he looks out his window at the two. The only tall buildings so to speak of are the buildings around the station, or the apartment towers along the redeveloped riverbank. Here one doesn’t need to look up to see the beautiful, blue sky. When the sun sets in the evening, the mountains in the distance, and the hill road leading up to school become tinged in a crimson hue. If you ever want to know what time it is, all you need to do is check the sun.

Our story begins in late September. The time of the year when an end to the blistering summer heat is finally within sight. It was a normal day for Takeru. He was leisurely walking down the riverbank with his friends as he always does, just as the sun was about to set. It was all part of the same daily routine he was used to. But tiny changes can cause that daily walk home to change, in ways that may one day come to tell a story of love.

They were tiny indeed, nothing special. Just the small, daily happenings that we each experience in our daily lives. It could be the moment his eyes met hers. It could be the moment their hands touched when trying to grab a book. It could be the moment she smiled at him, for the very first time– That tiny, minuscule moments that occur randomly throughout our daily lives can be the start of magical things to come.
