The Professor Layton series returned this year after a bit of a hiatus with Layton’s Mystery Journey on 3DS and mobile. It seems as though Level-5 isn’t quite done with the adventures of Katrielle Layton as they have announced a new anime starring the young detective. The full title of the show is Layton Mystery Tanteisha Katori no Nazotoki File. The series will also receive a manga in Ciao magazine, with merchandise provided by Takara Tomy Arts. The Layton series seems particularly primed for animation due to the series trademark animated cutscenes, so it will be interesting to see this show come to light!
