Happy New Years, everybody. Well, almost. I just want it to be here and done with so I can focus on a whole new year of gaming goodness! Unfortunately, the Nintendo Download today is very brief, possibly the smallest one I’ve done in quite some time. But there’s not much we can do without a bunch of games to cover. So get ready for a short and sweet Nintendo Download.

Nintendo Download | SteamWorld Heist Ultimate Edition

First up, if you are a fan of Image & Form, you can pick up the best version of SteamWorld Heist today. Yes, Switch owners can get SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition. What makes it so ultimate, you ask? Well, for one thing it features a new campaign where you can play as The Outsider, a mysterious new robotic ally. This version also sports new weapons, upgrades, mission and hats (gotta look stylish whilst heisting).

Nintendo Download | L.A. Noire

Though the Game Guide isn’t working today, there are a couple games I can mention that are on sale. I’m sure none of our audience cares about NBA 2K, but you can pick up L.A. Noire on sale for the Switch, as well as the insane Rocket League. You can see the finer details by clicking here.

Finally, let’s mention a few digital games worth playing. First off, if you haven’t played the retro goodness that is Mighty Gunvolt Burst, you can try out the demo version today, for both 3DS and Switch (not to mention the new DLC). If you hanker for more arcade fun, ACA NEOGEO has just unleashed The King of Fighters ’96. If you like playing around with plumbers, you can try out Arcade Archives Vs. Super Mario Bros. And finally, if you’re feeling violent, check out Guns, Gore and Cannoli.

That’s it! I told you this was a short one, right? Here’s hoping that Nintendo has much more to share starting in 2018. Hope everybody here has a Happy New Year and continues reading oprainfall for more Nintendo Download goodies next week.
