Mystik Belle | Big Logo

It’s tricky being a Steam gamer. There are so many games in a vast sea of titles, and it’s genuinely hard to sort the gems from the pebbles. But I do pride myself on being a good judge of quality, so it shouldn’t surprise you that Mystik Belle has been on my wishlist of late. I hadn’t quite pulled the trigger, since I wanted to investigate the basics first, but a new announcement will likely cause me to bite the bullet sooner rather than later. Namely, WayForward, those standard bearers of nostalgia and classic gaming, are helping bring Mystik Belle to PS4 and XBox One in North America and Europe this October. While I wish that it was coming to Switch, that’s still great news for fans of classic gaming.

Mystik Belle | Ghost

Developed by Last Dimension, Mystik Belle is a lovingly animated story about antics at the Hagmore School of Witchcraft. You play as Belle, and must wander about the grounds of the school while searching for arcane ingredients and avoiding nasty monsters. Gameplay looks to primarily be a platformer, though with a hint of RPG elements. I think that PS4 and XBox fans have a lot to look forward to when it launches on those consoles in October. It’s priced affordably too, at only $14.99. To read more details about the game, just check out the press release below!

Mystik Belle | Banter

Trouble is brewing at the Hagmore School of Witchcraft, and only freshman witch-in-training Belle MacFae can put things right.

As Belle, you must seek out the three crucial ingredients of the Walpurgisnacht Brew, which means investigating the school’s colorful 2D landscapes in a quest that combines elements of nonlinear, exploration-based action-platformers and classic object-oriented adventures.

As you traverse the labyrinthine school’s catacombs, laboratories, dungeons, and forests, you’ll use everything from a sledgehammer to a fish head to solve numerous puzzles.
And when you aren’t testing your grey matter, you’ll put your wand to use against a variety of impressively animated enemies, including spooky spiders, pesky plants, and rambunctious rodents.

Can your mind and magic overcome the myriad mysteries, or will this quest spell defeat for the unfortunate Belle?
