Birthdays the Beginning

 

NIS America has announced a batch of upcoming DLC for Birthdays the Beginning. The game is getting a Prinny Doll as “a tribute to the beloved Disgaea mascot”. The Prinny Doll, which launched today in both North America and Europe, can be seen in the image below.

There are also 6 other DLC sets being released for the game. Most of them came out today in North America, but in Europe some are launching on July 31st. The press release also notes that the Steam version of Birthdays the Beginning will get the DLCs at a later date for some odd reason.

The Kunio and Riki DLC Set

This set adds the characters Kunio and Riki into the game. It launched today in both North America and Europe.

The World Flags DLC Set

This set adds a bunch of world flags into the game. It launched today in North America but comes out on July 31st in Europe. It contains the flags of America, Canada, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France, Russia, South Korea, China, and Japan.

The World Monument DLC Set

This set adds some monuments from around the world into the game. It launched today in North America but comes out on July 31st in Europe. It contains the following monuments: Pyramid, Stonehenge, Moai Statue, Totem Pole, Obelisk, and Chichen Itza.

The Zen Garden DLC Set

This set adds some garden items into the game. It launched today in North America but comes out on July 31st in Europe. It includes these items: Pond & Bridge, Stone Lantern, Large Bushes, Fence, Gate, and Sozu.

The Cube Creator DX DLC Set

This set adds Cube & Brothers, Cube & Animals, and Cube & Monsters into the game. It launched today in both North America and Europe.

We’re happy to announce 6 brand new Birthdays the Beginning DLC sets and Prinny Doll DLC available for PSN™ & Steam®! All DLC images are available on press assets page and the descriptions/release dates for each DLC set are shown below. The DLC for the Steam version® will arrive at a later date.

DLC Descriptions*:

Prinny Doll (NA/EU Release Date: July 28) – Includes the ornamental “Prinny Doll” item, a tribute to the beloved Disgaea mascot.

Kunio and Riki Set (NA/EU Release Date: July 28) – The prolific high school punks burst onto the scene in Birthdays the Beginning. The Kunio and Riki Set contains the characters Kunio and Riki.

World Flag Set (NA Release Date: July 28/EU Release Date: July 31) – The World Flag Set contains the national flags of the following countries: America, Canada, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France, Russia, South Korea, China, and Japan.

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in my early 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES and SNES. He loves Nintendo but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks or bike rides, and loves animals.

Michael is also a computer programmer. This started with a toy he got as a kid called PreComputer 1000 that was made by V-Tech. It had a simple programming mode which is what started him down the road of being a programmer! Michael can program in BASIC, Visual Basic, C++, C#, and is familiar with Java and Lua Script.

Putting programming and gaming together, Michael became a hobbyist game developer which may give him some good insights on game development! Most recently, he has been playing with the free version of the Unity engine (a powerful and easy-to-use game engine).

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
