In a recent interview, Shinya Takahashi of Nintendo has revealed that there is software in development at Nintendo that take advantage of the Joy-Con and that software is being prepared for the Switch one after another.

When asked if there are any “revolutionary, out of the box” titles on the way (the interviewer sites Brain Age as an example, or Brain Training in Europe), Takahashi assures that titles that fit this criteria are coming even though he cannot discuss any details. Furthermore, he stresses the importance of indie titles like Snipperclips to Nintendo.

About Joseph Puntschart

A university student who loves niche games and desires for them to be more fairly represented in the world. Favourite games include Persona 4 Golden, Super Mario Galaxy, Kingdom Hearts II and IA/VT Colorful. Hopes that one day a Japanese publisher will take the risk and make a Yaoi ecchi game. Think Valkyrie Drive with guys and you're on the right lines.

Welp, if he’s stressing indie titles that aren’t even exclusive the Switch is doomed.

The Switch is an odd place TBH. Its not as portable as a Vita or 3DS and lacks the horsepower to keep up with the other consoles/PC or even high end tablets.
I wish Sony would have come up with a TV dock to plug your Vita in so you could pick up a DS4 and continue playing on your TV instead of that piece of shit PSTV because i like the concept of the Switch but i have strong doubts about the execution.
From what ive seen so far the JoyCons just feel like a gimmick and make the unit just bulky in portable mode and any serious gamer uses the pro controller in TV mode.
