FunimationAccording to two websites, Funimation users have had their data compromised. Both sites report that over 2.5 million users had their data stolen. Furthermore, the hack occurred back in July.

One site in particular, haveibeenpwned.com, listed the details that were stolen:

In July 2016, the anime site Funimation suffered a data breach that impacted 2.5 million accounts. The data contained usernames, email addresses, dates of birth and salted SHA1 hashes of passwords.

Thankfully, it doesn’t look like credit card information was taken, but it is strongly advised for any users to reset their password. No official word has come from Funimation about the hack, but we will keep you posted if that changes.
