San Diego, CA – February 21, 2017 – Scarlet Moon Productions is pleased to announce the addition of vocalist and lyricist Emi Evans to their roster of world-renowned talent at Scarlet Moon Artists. The partnership, under which Evans will be represented by Scarlet Moon Artists, will see her contributing to an even wider variety of videogame projects both big and small.

“The team at Scarlet Moon Productions has been a great source of encouragement and support ever since I shyly made my debut into the world of videogame music almost ten years ago,” reflects Evans. “I’m delighted to be working with them and am excited to have the chance to reach out with my voice and collaborate with so many more talented creators out there!”

Evans joins an acclaimed roster of composers at Scarlet Moon Artists which includes Hitoshi Sakimoto (Valkyria Chronicles, Final Fantasy XII), Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Indivisible), Vince DiCola and Kenny Meriedeth (Transformers: The Movie (1986), Rocky IV), Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear Solid series, Bayonetta series) and many others:

“I’ve been following Emi’s work since her first foray into games with the Etrian Odyssey 2 arrange album,” comments Scarlet Moon Productions producer Jayson Napolitano. “It’s such a huge honor to work with her in this capacity, and we already have new projects in the works!”

Scarlet Moon Artists was launched in 2014 with the goal of bridging the gap between top game music talent from around the globe and smaller developers interested in their services. Since that time, Scarlet Moon Artists has featured talent in games including Indivisible (Lab Zero Games), Starr Mazer (Imagos Softworks), ’90s Arcade Racer (Nicalis), EarthNight (Cleaversoft), PAC-MAN Pop (Bandai Namco), YIIK (Ackk Studios) and many more.

About Emi Evans

Emi Evans is a singer, songwriter, and cellist based in Tokyo, Japan who got her start in music at an early age and made a name for herself with her music duo, freesscape, which features a blend of UK chill out, soaring melodies, and sensitive vocals. She’s been featured in numerous television dramas, film, anime, and television commercials for clients as diverse as Toyota, Panasonic, Nivea, Canon, and Suntory in Japan.

She broke into the world of videogames with vocal contributions to an Etrian Odyssey 2 arrangement album, but gained industry-wide recognition for her work on the original NieR, which featured lyrics written in a futuristic language of her own invention.

Since that time, she’s gone on to contribute to some of of the biggest franchises in videogames, from Dark Souls 2 and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon to Monster Hunter: Frontier G and Terra Battle. She’s also performed with Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu’s band, Earthbound Papas, which features more alien vocals, and she’s excited for fans to hear her latest work in the upcoming release of NieR: Automata from Square Enix.
