Snake Pass

Sumo Studio announced yesterday that their new retro-inspired platformer, Snake Pass, is releasing in North America on March 28th and in Europe on March 29th. The game will be on almost every platform, coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players who play it on Playstation 4 Pro with 4K TVs get a higher resolution, and HD TVs give the game a higher frame rate. Xbox One owners will get a Windows 10 PC version of the game for free, allowing them to sync saves between the devices.

February 15th, 2017 – Sheffield, United Kingdom Independent developer Sumo Digital, the studio behind AAA blockbuster Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed and LittleBigPlanet 3, today announced that Snake Pass, it’s slithery physics platformer, will launch on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, Nintendo Switch™ and PC on March 28th in North America and March 29th across all platforms in Europe. Snake Pass will support PlayStation®4 Pro at launch with enhanced visual features. Snake Pass is a retro-inspired collectathon platformer, where players slither, curl and climb their way through increasingly challenging worlds filled with intricate obstacles and fiendishly mind-bending challenges.

Sumo have also announced that Snake Pass will support PlayStation 4 Pro. Owners of the PlayStation 4 Pro with 4K TVs will be able to play Snake Pass in a higher resolution, allowing them to appreciate the beautiful, Unreal Engine 4 powered visuals in pin-sharp detail. Owners of a PlayStation 4 Pro with HD TVs will be able to play Snake Pass at a higher frame rate. Snake Pass will also support High Dynamic Range on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4. Players with compatible TVs will be able to experience the lush colours and textures of Haven Tor in incredibly vibrant HDR. Prepare your eyeballs.

For Xbox players, Snake Pass will support the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, where once you buy Snake Pass, you can play it on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost. Your progress goes with you, saves, achievements and game add-ons are all in the cloud, so when you switch from one device to the other, you can pick up right where you left off.

For Nintendo Switch owners, Snake Pass will be playable in TV mode, Handheld mode and Tabletop mode. Supporting the Joy-Con© and the Switch Pro Controller©, Snake Pass on Nintendo Switch offers unparalleled flexibility, letting you play any place, any time and any way you want.
