Stranger of Sword City Revisited

Developer Experience have made a launch announcement for Stranger of Sword City Revisited (previously known as “New Interpretation Stranger of Sword City“). Their announcement details the North American launch of the game and some worldwide sales information. It will be launching as a digital-only title on the PlayStation Vita on February 28th. It will come with a price tag of $29.99.

Additionally, Experience made an announcement about the worldwide sales of the series itself. They said that the series has topped the 100,000 mark in worldwide sales. They want to commemorate this milestone via what they call the “100,000 Sales Achievement Campaign”.  This event is happening from February 28th to March 6th. During this time, the Xbox One version of Stranger of Sword City will be marked down to $10.12 (75% off). The Steam version of the game will be priced at $19.99 during this event. The developer has also given an overview of Stranger of Sword City Revisited:

“From the present day, to the parallel world. Survive in the land of polar night! The airplane you were travelling on vanished mysteriously, without a trace. You awaken to an unfamiliar starry night sky. It is the Sword City Escario, where shining butterflies dance… Before you lies a land of strange creatures, fearsome monsters, and countless mysterious labyrinths. You are the Chosen One: The Stranger of Sword City.

Stranger of Sword City Revisited uses the previously released by NIS America PS Vita version of Stranger of Sword City as the base of the game. Though, with the additional content of new classes, reworked combat & gameplay system, items and additional dungeon players will be able to enjoy a different experience from the original game!

*The Story will be mostly similar to the original title, though there are new additional events.”

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in my early 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES and SNES. He loves Nintendo but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks or bike rides, and loves animals.

Michael is also a computer programmer. This started with a toy he got as a kid called PreComputer 1000 that was made by V-Tech. It had a simple programming mode which is what started him down the road of being a programmer! Michael can program in BASIC, Visual Basic, C++, C#, and is familiar with Java and Lua Script.

Putting programming and gaming together, Michael became a hobbyist game developer which may give him some good insights on game development! Most recently, he has been playing with the free version of the Unity engine (a powerful and easy-to-use game engine).

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.

They really should’ve offered an upgrade option. I didn’t enjoy the original, so I’ll be skipping this one.

I’m interested in seeing the exact changes. It probably be ported to other systems as well. It is always nice when something sells well.
