Rising Star Games announced today that they are going to be bringing Earth’s Dawn, a slick anime inspired 2D side scroller by Japanese team Oneoreight, to Steam as of December 7th. Besides the pretty coat of paint, the game also boasts tons of customization options and fun mayhem. Best of all, there will be a 20% discount for a period of time after it releases on Steam.

Visually the game seems to be inspired by Vanillaware, which is a very good thing. However, Earth’s Dawn has a unique style, and mixes beautiful visuals with hardcore sci-fi military goodness. I’m always drawn in by unique art, and if the combat meshes well with it, I think this will be a game worth trying.

Earth's Dawn | Stats

Earth’s Dawn takes place after the Earth was decimated by an invasion from an alien race known to humans as E.B.E. The E.B.E. moved across the planet, consuming anything in their path, and proved impervious to existing weapons. Ahead of the impending annihilation, a breakthrough was made – the E.B.E. was susceptible to damage by weaponry designed using its very own technology. The power to fight back was now in the hands of an elite fighting force!

Already thrilling players on home consoles, Earth’s Dawn will be available on PC via digital retailers on December 7th for the suggested retail price of $29.99/€29.99/£29.99, with a 20% launch period discount when purchased via Steam.
