Akiba's Beat | Eu Announcement

This morning, PQube has announced that they will be publishing Akiba’s Beat in Europe. Akiba’s Beat is the newest action RPG from Akiba’s Trip studio Acquire. They estimate the game will be releasing sometime in the first quarter of 2017, and it will be available for PS4 and PS Vita. In addition to this, PQube will be showing off the game at MCM Expo in London this weekend (from the 28th to the 30th) in South Hall, Stand 1531.

Update: PQube has stated that this game will be sub only, there will be no dub for this version.

No dub, meaning they won’t license the xseed dubs? That’s some weird move, usually you lose more sales by not dubbing the game.

EDIT: just to be clear, my intention isn’t to be a killjoy I’m happy it’s coming to Europe, I’m simply a bit puzzled

    • j0eeyy_p

Dubs only seem to be an issue in America where retailers won’t stock the game unless there are English voices. European retailers seem to be different, as PQube’s other sub-only games are put in store shelves over here. Different markets, different dynamics.

Either way, at least sub-only anti-DLC folks now have an option to import an English version of the game and still get the Japanese audio.

    • Miqubi

Hmmm I was getting at people not buying the game due to subs only, although I guess anyone who’s bugged by that could import, also does that mean that the dual audio for the US version is DLC?

    • j0eeyy_p

Yes, the NA version is dual audio. The English audio is included on cartridge however the Japanese audio is free DLC.

  • Mr0303

I’m not terribly excited for the game, but simultaneous releases are always welcome.
