Compile Heart have released a new trailer showcasing the “Purification” feature of their upcoming dungeon RPG collaboration project with Dengeki Bunko and Dengeki PlayStation, Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter.

This is some of the game’s ecchi content, where you rub the various female characters you see in-game in order to remove their impurities, which can lead to temporary stat bonuses for the girls.

You can watch the trailer below.

Divine Prison Tower: Mary Skelter is due to release in Japan on October 13th exclusively on the PS Vita. No word on a Western release.

A university student who loves niche games and desires for them to be more fairly represented in the world. Favourite games include Persona 4 Golden, Super Mario Galaxy, Kingdom Hearts II and IA/VT Colorful. Hopes that one day a Japanese publisher will take the risk and make a Yaoi ecchi game. Think Valkyrie Drive with guys and you're on the right lines.

Given the trailer the chances of a Western release are slim to none. I just hope there is an English Asia alternative.

I think my favourite part of the trailer was the dialogue box with a single “YES” response.

Consdering that Sony have bailed on English Asian releases and Bamco only do their own thing, unless a publisher or fanslation pops up, I doubt we’ll get this. And that makes me sad. I was hoping this wouldn’t have this level of ecchi content.

I don’t think art should be restricted in any way, so I’m fine with the ecchi stuff. I won’t bother with fanslation, but will gladly buy it if a publisher picks it up.

I feel the same way about art, but I wish it wasn’t included in the first place so we could get it localised uncensored. That said, these games are made for the JPN market first and foremost so that’s also something to consider.

IFI has confirmed that it will be Uncensored.

Yep, I was happy to hear that. Definitely day 1 buy for me.
