Koei Tecmo has just announced the list of games that will be shown at Tokyo Game Show 2016. Among the expected games there is, of course, Berserk. This game will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 physically and digitally for Vita and PC. The game will be strongly related to the manga’s story arcs and will feature battle mechanics like Magic and Transformations.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive ARPG Nioh is confirmed and will tell the adventures of William Adams, the first western samurai. Featuring supernatural creatures and offering a challenging experience, the game seems to follow the path of the Dark Souls series.
Toukiden 2 has also been confirmed for a Western release in 2017. You will play as a slayer whose task is to fight evil Oni demons. Platforms and release dates are yet to be disclosed.
Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, the second episode of the Mysterious trilogy, will be playable on Tokyo Game Show floor on the PlayStation 4. The story revolves around the adventures of a young alchemist adventuring around the world.
JRPG Nights of Azure 2 and musou Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru are both in development and will be shown at TGS. The title of this Samurai Warrior game has not been officially announced yet. It should be released in the West in 2017 and will be available for testing during the event.
While not many release dates have been officially communicated yet, this news should please fans, as it confirms the interest of Koei Tecmo for the Western market. The official announcement from Koei Tecmo can be found here.
