Alex Hirsch and Nicole Pearlman are reportedly in negotiations to script Legendary’s Detective Pikachu film. Nicole Perlman has worked on Marvel’s Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy films, and is also set to work on Captain Marvel. Alex Hirsch is probably best known as the creator of the beloved Disney animated series Gravity Falls. Gravity Falls had a laundry list of references to video games and even featured an episode where one of the characters goes out with a dating-sim girl!
It definitely feels like Legendary is bringing the talent to this Detective Pikachu film. Let’s hope there’s more news to come on the particular Pokemon adventure!
