Bitsummit 2016 featured a few nice surprises. One of these, was the announcement of a collaboration between Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 and the Shovel Knight Amiibo.
With both titles being action platforms, this seems like the perfect fit. By placing your Shovel Knight Amiibo on your New 3DS, you will unlock a special fight between Gunvolt and Shovel Knight.

Additionally, it was revealed in the beginning of the month that Yacht Club Games will be handling the publishing of the Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Striker Pack outside of Japan. This collaboration truly shows the two developers respect for each others work.
Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack is coming to Nintendo 3DS on August 25 in Japan and September 30 in NA and EU.
