Super Mario RPG dialogue

Nintendo of America put up a product page for Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on their official website. The page announces that the game, originally on the Super NES, will be releasing on the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow, on June 30, 2016. The game will be available on the Nintendo eShop for $7.99 USD.

Super Mario RPG has already been released on Wii U in other territories, with a Japanese release on August 5, 2015, and PAL regions seeing it on December 24. Previously, it released on the Wii virtual console in all regions in 2008, which was also the first release of the game in PAL territories, and originally released on Super NES in 1996. It was an early example of Nintendo collaborating with another developer, since the game was developed by Square Soft. It is also the precursor to the later Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi RPG series.

Might grab this as I never got near to finishing it back in the day. I was most likely distracted by the multitude of RPG’s on the Snes.

    • Panpopo

At that price, I think it is definitely worth the pick up. One of my favorite games on the SNES.

I’m sure u have many. Still a great system.
