BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc., has announced that the hit collectible card game Outcast Odyssey has been invaded by Dark Souls II, the critically-acclaimed game by FromSoftware, Inc. Outcast Odyssey is paying tribute to the series by including all-new gameplay, card content, as well as weekly featured events revolving around Dark Souls II. As part of this new update, Outcast Odyssey is taking themes and visuals inspired by the world of Dark Souls II with dark skies and a bonfire, as well as the Umbral Cabal event. The updated Outcast Odyssey is available to download for free in the App Store and Google Play store.
The Dark Souls II invasion brings all-new game elements to Outcast Odyssey, including counter-attacks, wandering enemies, and even player invasions inspired by Dark Souls II, where players will encounter other players throughout the Umbral Cabal dungeon and have to battle them in spontaneous combat. The new roster of content includes 17 new cards with custom artwork inspired by Dark Souls™ II, each with four evolved forms. Along with these new cards are two new realms, Luminous and Umbral, two forces that are strongest when in opposition against each other, but are neutral against the other realms.
Rewards – Players can snag a Dark Souls II pack as the reward for all events during the invasion!
The Tower – One day each week, a Tower filled with enemies appears on the colony screen. Gamers will fight their way to the top to defeat enemies inspired by those from Dark Souls II, and win packs of valuable Dark Souls II cards!
Umbral Cabal – During this event, players will explore an infinitely deep dungeon and collect event items while facing off against invading players and trying to collect the most event items to win Dark Souls II packs and cards!
The Guild War – Gamers can square off against other players and guilds in a fierce battle for dominance. Individuals and guilds at the top of the leaderboards win Dark Souls II packs and cards!
Free Daily Bonuses at Launch – Starting April 20, and continued daily through May 1, Outcast Odyssey players can receive free daily Dark Souls II Starter Bundles that contain Umbral or Luminous cards. In all, gamers who play the game at the launch of the Dark Souls II invasion can receive a total of 12 free cards just for playing the game and logging in daily!
